Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service?

We are looking for Motor Claims Handlers to join us during an exciting period of growth. In this fast-paced role, you will investigate liability, determine claim progression, and support the recovery of charges. You’ll work across the claims lifecycle, liaising with car body repairers, insurers, and brokers while keeping customers updated via phone and email.

What will you be doing?
You will be part of a busy and fast-paced department that is responsible for providing support to our customers who have been involved in a road traffic accident, regardless of fault. Your role will involve communicating with our customers through both verbal and written means and discussing their options whether their vehicle is repairable or has been deemed a write-off.

This role draws on experience from various sectors, requiring you to apply technical knowledge to assess liability in both fault and non-fault accidents. You’ll provide outstanding customer service by keeping clients informed about their claims while also managing discussions with brokers and insurers. We don’t expect applicants to have experience in every aspect of the role, and have 4 levels available based on experience, some exposure to claims handling, liability assessment, credit hire and personal injury is desirable!


What will your day look like:

  • Manage end-to-end motor claims from initial report to completion.
  • Work closely with work providers, clients, and repairers to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
  • Update and maintain a case management system with detailed progress reports.
  • Liaise with insurers and engineers to address liability queries and recover costs.
  • Provide excellent customer service through effective communication and problem-solving.
  • Adhere to strict service level agreements and timelines.

Knowledge and Abilities:

Motor – Claims Handler CH1
Entry level. No previous claims handling experience required. CH1 level motor – claims handlers will proactively manage a portfolio of customer claims include repair and total loss.

Motor – Claims Handler CH2
An experienced claims handler with experience dealing with customer claims, credit hire, third party property damage, recoveries and personal injury via the OIC and portal.

Motor – Claims Handler CH3
An experienced claims handler with significate experience dealing with customer claims, credit hire, third party property damage, recoveries and personal injury via the OIC and MOJ portal. Will have an excellent knowledge of motor related caselaw.

Motor – Claims Handler CH4
An experienced claims handler with significate experience dealing with customer claims, high value and complex credit hire, third party property damage, recoveries and personal injury via the OIC and MOJ portal, along with high value complex injury up to £100k. Will have an excellent knowledge of motor related caselaw including Scottish and Northern Irish.
