Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to use your engineering/water service experience in helping to maintain the patient environment.

Our focus on improving the Trust facilities and environment has created an opportunity for a Mechanical Craftsman. You will undertake water sampling from scheduled areas around the Trust and day-to-day planned and reactive maintenance.

Main duties of the job

You will be based at Wexham Park but may on occasion be required to work at our sister sites at Frimley and Ascot with the Trust supplying transportation to be used for the delivery of samples and when working at the other hospitals

You will have good customer care skills, and be able to work on your own initiative.

Qualification

Essential criteria

  • should have or working towards a minimum level 3 technical qualification.
  • Experiance of planned maintenance systems

Desirable criteria

  • ONC / HNC
  • Water related qualification
  • Mechanical apprenticeship

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Experience of water systems
  • Good at fault finding
  • Good Communication skills

Desirable criteria

  • Health & Safety qualification
  • A knowledge of Hospital Water Systems
  • Working knowledge of L8, HTM04, and HSG274
  • Experience of chemical dosing units
  • Understanding of Healthcare environment

communication and IT skills

Essential criteria

  • Must be able to use a computer and mobile device.

Desirable criteria

  • Experiance of BMS systems
