Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (On-call rota, 1 in 5)

Salary: £38,000 - £42,500 dependant upon skills & experience

We’re currently seeking a Mobile Electrical Service Engineer to join our Mobile South team, servicing Berkshire, Hertfordshire, and South Bucks.

The Role

As a Mobile Electrical Service Engineer, you will be key to maintaining and servicing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and residential sites. This role offers more than just electrical work; you’ll gain hands-on experience with mechanical systems, air handling units, pumps, and plant equipment. We provide on-the-job training, enabling you to expand your skills across multiple trades and become a versatile engineer.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver electrical installation, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair across diverse sites.
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns, minimizing downtime for clients.
  • Manage and track spare parts and coordinate remedial work.
  • Conduct risk assessments to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Follow Permit to Work procedures to maintain safe working environments.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Participate in a regional on-call rota for out-of-hours support.
  • Maintain tidy, compliant plant rooms and keep tools and test equipment in excellent condition.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development, broadening your expertise across mechanical and building systems.

What We’re Looking For

  • Recognised industry qualification in Electrical work.
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding, and diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, air handling units, pumps, and building management systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
