Join Sodexo as a Mobile Cleaner, supporting multiple Approved Premises (APs) across the Carlisle and Penrith areas, covering Cumbria sites In this vital role, you’ll travel between different sites, delivering high-quality cleaning services to help maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments.
You’ll be responsible for general cleaning duties across various locations, working closely with site staff and your wider team. Your efforts will directly contribute to the health, hygiene, and comfort of the residents and staff at each site.
Approved Premises play a key role in supporting individuals released from prison, offering enhanced supervision and rehabilitation within the community. This role will give you insight into working in a residential setting with vulnerable and complex individuals, providing meaningful work that supports positive change.

- Monday to Friday – weekend cover may be required
- £12.21 per hour

What You’ll Do
- Complete a list of scheduled cleaning tasks across various sites.
- Travel between locations using a company-provided vehicle and fuel card.
- Manage your own schedule and take ownership of your tasks, ensuring everything is completed within the required timeframes.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and other departments—so if you're a people person with a full UK driving licence, we’d love to hear from you!
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in all areas, including offices, kitchens, toilets, and communal spaces.
- Restock essential supplies like toilet paper, hand soap, and sanitiser.
- Be a proactive advocate for health and safety procedures at all times.
- Previous experience in a similar cleaning role is desirable, along with knowledge of cleaning products and their appropriate uses.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Great communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work efficiently, adapt quickly, and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to follow direction when needed.
