Job Summary
Band 5 and 6 Midwives - Full or Part Time roles
( Please note, if you prefer working on a part-time basis you will receive a salary on a pro rata basis subject to hours offered)
We have a fantastic package for Newly qualified midwives and a dedicated Preceptorship Lead Midwife who provides invaluable support to guide you through.
We are looking for midwives who can demonstrate kindness and compassion and are passionate about providing gold standard care to the families who choose to birth with us.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is required to provide holistic midwifery care to women/birthing people and babies in the antenatal, Intrapartum and postnatal periods. The midwifery care is provided both in hospital, Birth Centre, Day assessment Unit, Maternity Triage, Transitional Care Unit and community settings including the management of individual caseloads, clients and/or ward areas.

Qualifications
Qualifications B6 Essential
- Registered Midwife
- Practising Midwife
- Maintained an up to date professional portfolio
- Training in management of obstetric emergencies
- Valid Driving Licence
- To have obtained or be studying to degree level (or diploma with equivalent experience)
- Teaching/Mentoring qualification
- Recent experience in all aspects of midwifery practice.
- Competencies relevant to sphere of practice.
- Evidence of further study and development of professional and academic skills
- Experience of mentoring students
- Registered Midwife
- Current NMC Registration
- Experience gained through training
- Ability to use flexible, innovative approaches to practice which are tailored to meet the individual needs of the clients
