Job Description
Wincanton for Micheldever at our Greenford depot in London are looking for a Warehouse Team Manager to join the team. You will lead a team of colleagues to receive, pick and load store orders accurately, safely and in a timely manner to meet the outbound loading schedule.
The Warehouse Team Manager reports directly to the Warehouse Shift Manager. and will be responsible and accountable for managing and motivating a team of up to 20-30 colleagues to deliver targets to strict timelines
This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to work closely with peers and engage at all levels with good communication skills.
The salary for this role is dependent on experience, starting from £30.910 per annum.
You will be working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays required

Duties And Responsibilities
- Motivate and manage the team to achieve, and where possible exceed, all performance objectives.
- Effective management of resources to achieve KPIs (cost, quality, service, and absence).
- Ensure a proactive approach to Health & Safety via risk assessment and by ensuring that warehouse team members comply with Health and Safety policies and requirements.
- Conduct regular individual reviews and where necessary agree a performance improvement plan.
- Time & Attendance management.
- To manage employees through the effective application of Company terms and conditions, policies (capability and conduct, absence, equal opportunities) and procedures (grievance, disciplinary, terminations).
- Experienced in supervising or managing a team in a warehouse environment.
- Attention to detail to analyse data and make recommendations.
- Customer focused and able to build effective relationships with team, client and other third parties.
- Experience of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment is essential.
- Experience in a warehouse environment, including detailed understanding of warehouse management systems.
- Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiastic, committed, and able to respond positively to changing demands.
- Experience of using MS Office applications such as Word, Excel to an intermediate standard
