Salary: Up to £30.00 per hour (approx £71.5k per annum), inclusive of shift allowance. Dependent on experience

About The Role

You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our world-class products. You'll be at the forefront of innovation, working with state-of-the-art Coordinate Measuring Machines and advanced metrology software to guarantee the highest standards of precision in our manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Write CMM Programs from both 2d and 3d data using relevant software.
  • Investigate and research new and future measuring technologies and their suitability to enhance the department's capabilities.
  • Review and monitor measurement processes with a view to increasing productivity and efficiency
  • Compile corrective action reports for non-conforming products and liaise with production staff to ensure correction of any out of specification features.
  • Use metrology techniques to ensure verifiable results following specified procedures

Who We're Looking For

You’ll have existing experience as a Metrology Engineer / CMM Programmer within a manufacturing/production environment.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have

  • A good working knowledge of measurement software
  • Strong logical and problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of inspection of cast/machined parts whilst employing a wide range of measurement techniques.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D CAD models along with a strong understanding of GD&T.
  • Ability to travel to site.
