Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Cosmetics Merchandising Lead to support the implementation of our makeup brands across key retail partners in Europe & the UK. This role involves work with agencies that do regular store visits, merchandising execution, stand installations, reorders for designated customers, and coordination of deliveries, repairs, and new equipment purchases.
The ideal candidate has experience in beauty or FMCG retail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with store teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Store Visits & Merchandising Execution
- Conduct regular visits to retail stores, yourself and with third party agencies
- Ensure all brand guidelines, planograms, and merchandising standards are implemented correctly.
- Audit displays, testers, fixtures, and stock levels; identify gaps and action improvements.
- Provide photo reports and feedback after each store visit.
Store Implementations & Visual Standards
- Manage installation of new makeup stands, updates, and seasonal refreshes.
- Coordinate with store teams and external installers to ensure timely execution.
- Maintain consistency across all touchpoints, ensuring the brand is presented to the highest standards.
Stock Replenishment & Customer Reorders
- Place reorders for selected customers based on store checks, sales performance, and stock levels.
- Monitor inventory availability and collaborate with supply chain to ensure smooth replenishment.
- Track order status and follow up with customers and 3PL partners when needed.
Stands, Fixtures & Equipment
- Coordinate the delivery of stands, POS materials, and branded fixtures.
- Oversee repairs, maintenance, and replacements of damaged displays.
- Manage new purchases of merchandising equipment, ensuring best value and compliance with brand guidelines.
Budgets & Administration
- Support in managing merchandising budgets (stands, materials, repairs, installations).
- Maintain accurate cost tracking and approval processes.
- Prepare merchandising reports, visit summaries, and implementation calendars.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Brand Managers, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
- Brief and coordinate with external partners (installers, suppliers, agencies).
- Maintain strong relationships with retail staff to support brand growth in-store.
Requirements
- Experience in beauty, cosmetics, FMCG, or retail merchandising (required).
- Strong organisational and project-management skills.
- Ability to travel regularly to stores (driving licence preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident using Excel, email communication, and reporting tools.
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working independently.
- Good eye for visual detail and brand presentation.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Boots, Superdrug, Sephora UK, department stores, or pharmacy chains.
- Understanding of planograms and VM principles.
- Experience managing budgets and external suppliers.
- Knowledge of POS/fixture production.
- Additional European languages advantageous - German or Spanish preference
