We are looking for a technically minded Mechatronics Engineer to join our world class innovative engineering team. You will be working on projects that shape the worlds technological advancements in a multitude of sectors.

The Role
Your main duties will centre around focused delivery on Mechatronic hardware design for our multi-national clients within the Healthcare sector, with scope to branch out to other industries where required. You will be joining the Analytical Mechanics and Mechatronics Group which consists of 5 brilliant Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineers.
At Cambridge Consultants, we help our clients develop breakthrough technology across a broad range of industries:
You will be 'hands-on' in solving complex mechanical challenges, often alongside other disciplines and in supportive project teams. Our work varies greatly for our clients, but it is likely you will be bringing your expertise to leading work such as first-principle engineering analyses, hands on testing, alongside detailed machine design and implementation.
As you will be leading Mechatronics developments and defining technical solutions, you will be liaising with clients, suppliers and becoming a mentor to develop junior engineers.
You will be delivering excellent work on our client projects, to specification and to timelines whilst being responsible for delivering tasks you are given and defining tasks for yourself and others.

Our ideal requirements are:
- An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related subject, such as Biomedical, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics etc) or equivalent experience
- Mechatronics and/or Machine design industry experience.
- Highly proficient in CAD, design analysis, structural analysis, rapid prototyping, technical drawings, design for manufacture, design for assembly.
- Specific experience in hardware design for moving machinery, ideally in a robotics context.
