As explorers in the field of materials science, our M&T Lab plays a crucial role in delivering essential product test data for aerospace customer qualifications, product re-sites, problem resolution, and product development activities. This role involves continuous improvement of testing methods, expansion of testing capabilities to include physical, mechanical, and NDI techniques, support with test requests, and root cause analysis investigation. You will be involved in method development, delivering and improving training, and networking with the wider Syensqo community and industry. We count on you for:
- Developing and implementing new testing techniques and improving existing methods.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives and method development.
- Ensuring the development, standardisation and implementation of reporting improvements through new procedures.
- Delivering and enhancing training programmes for laboratory staff.
- Expanding testing capabilities to include physical, analytical, mechanical, and NDI techniques.
- Networking with the wider Syensqo community and industry experts.
- Conducting round robin studies and gaining accreditations from organisations such as Airbus, NADCAP, and NCamp.
- Supporting test requests and providing detailed reports with matrix comparisons to industry standards.
- Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting test failures.
- A commitment to safety and sustainability in all our operations.

- Support in developing your leadership skills and expanding your expertise in a dynamic team environment.

- A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or Technology (minimum).
- 5 years’ experience in the advanced materials market in a technical capacity.
- 2 years’ experience in a leadership or managerial position preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of Six Sigma, Lean, and Continuous Improvement tools, techniques, and methodology.
- Intermediate or advanced understanding of the composites industry, including resin families, fibres, test methods, and statistics.
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and stakeholders.

- This is not a remote position, physical presence is required at our Wrexham site in the UK, however, we would be happy to discuss possible flexible working options and what this may look like for you.
- Occasional travel might be required to other global sites, for the support of internal laboratories, as well as external test houses and customers.
