Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a well-established building services engineering company based in Maidstone, Kent. Specialising in electrical installation, plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning services, as well as other specialist commercial construction projects, this company has grown consistently since its founding in 1984. This role has arisen due to a strong project pipeline following a period of successful tenders.
The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee projects from initial inception to handover. Responsibilities will include site visits, surveys, designs, estimations, and quotations, as well as negotiating and purchasing materials, supervising labour, commissioning, client training, and preparing O&M manuals. Ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget is a key aspect of the role. The successful candidate will manage a team of direct PAYE Installation Engineers, in addition to overseeing subcontractors.

Mechanical Project Manager Job Requirements
- Experience project managing AHUs, VRV/VRF, ducting, boiler and chiller replacements & upgrades
- Strong Project Management skillset managing projects around £100k-£1m.
- Whilst practical and hands on experience is advantageous, technical skillset, communication skills and autonomy are equally important.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience, with responsibility for running projects, as well as managing a team of engineers who have reported directly to the candidate.
- Computer literate, proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and MS Projects
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good attention to detail
- Contract negotiation
- Basic Salary flexible up to £65k DOE.
