Date: 3 weeks ago
City: West Bromwich
Contract type: Full time
This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic Cancer Services Team within the Trust. You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, accurate data input/ IT skills whilst working to deadlines.
You will be a key player, organising the Multidisciplinary Cancer Meetings, working effectively and efficiently with clinical and non-clinical colleagues. We are looking for a team player, who is motivated, reliable and eager to learn, and wanting to contribute to improving the journey and experience for our cancer patients.
We would welcome applications from candidates who do not hold the Level 3 Business Administrator qualification as this could be offered during employment.
You must enjoy working in a busy environment and be able to priorities your own workload. You will need good interpersonal skills, be IT literate and able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.
To provide administrative and clerical support to the work of the Cancer Multi-disciplinary (MDT) teams across the whole Trust ensuring processes are robust for collection of local data requirements. Ensure all patients are tracked through their pathway by escalating concerns to a cancer manager, to enable waiting times targets to be met. To provide a point of contact for members of the MDT on a day to day basis to ensure continuity of communication.
Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust (SWBT) is an integrated care organisation with a budget of approximately £600 million and over 7,000 staff. Diversity and social care is at the core of what we do as the Trust provides Community and Acute Services to over half a million people in an urban centre that demands massive regeneration and has substantial premature mortality.
Our new acute hospital, the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH), opens in 2024 and will provide care to our local population from first class, purpose-built premises. As a result, the base of this role may change to MMUH from 2024 (or beyond). If this is applicable to your role, you will be informed during the recruitment process and continuing your application with this understanding. The development of the new hospital will play an important role in the regeneration of the wider area and in improving the lives of local people and reducing health inequalities.
We Have Three Newly Emerging Strategic Objectives
All enquiries are welcome, visits to the department are encouraged. Please make contact to arrange.
