Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the matter team to ensure new transactions are set up optimally to meet both external client and legal requirements and internal reporting/billing requirements.
- Assistance with opening of new clients/matters and generation of matter numbers
- Monitor the setup of clients/matters to ensure compliance with the regulations and billing/rates requirements, liaising where relevant with the Business Finance, Risk Management and Tax Teams.
- Actioning changes to clients and matters as requested by matter teams
- Assistance with the setup of ebilling clients
- Using the information held within the Practice Management system to assist internal clients (lawyers/secretaries) by responding to their enquiries
- Liaising with the other New Business Intake teams to ensure a joined up and efficient process for the fee earners and PA's.
- Identify process improvements to the internal NBI Matter Management processes
- Ad hoc project support for the NBI team globally
Skills / Experience
- Educated to degree level preferably with a law degree
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- Good commercial awareness.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work autonomously and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal, written and face to face communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.
