As a Marketing and Social Media Manager Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting Aprender’s impact by helping to shape public and sector perception and improve donor contributions.

What are we looking for?

Communication Skills Ability to articulate our cause persuasively and engage potential donors and using storytelling and media planning expertise to engage and convert donors

Tech-Savvy Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing, and analytic tools.

Creativity Think outside the box to develop innovative ideas. Graphic design skills.

Organisational Skills Manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and events effectively.

Previous Experience Prior experience in marketing and social media management or related fields, including understanding of targeting and user experience for effective media planning and content creation.

What will you be doing?

The role is to help with our marketing and social media in delivering these key outcomes

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns to promote Aprender’s mission and programs
  • Work collaboratively with the Aprender Digital Team.
  • Create compelling content for social media (differentiated for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn), and other platforms, website, and email newsletters.
  • Manage social media platforms and online presence including updating sites as necessary
  • Collaborate with the Aprender team to gather stories, testimonials, and data that illustrate the impact of our work
  • Coordinate the production of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, videos, and other promotional materials
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the nonprofit sector
  • Cultivate relationships with media outlets, influencers, and community partners to improve our visibility and reach
  • Monitor activity across our online presence and provide our Board with monthly reports to aid fundraising with recommendations for optimisation, measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
