We're looking for a Manufacturing Technician to support our industry-leading products here at Tosoh Quartz, Inc.

As the Manufacturing Technician, you will assist in the manufacture of quartz components using a variety of tools and equipment.

Schedule: 6:00 – 15:30 Monday – Thursday, and 8:00 – 12:00 Friday, with 2 15-minute breaks and 30-minute lunch.

Important note: This position works with chemicals (including acid) for up to 80% of the shift. All employees must strictly follow all safety protocols and wear required safety gear when working with chemicals.

Essential Functions

  • Cut glass to the required lengths, cut in bevels, slots or other features, etch off layers to perfect glass and rinse item in acid bath between all steps.
  • Produce and inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production documents.
  • Perform detail work, which may include waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, acid wash or other cleaning, cosmetic inspection of parts and other similar functions.
  • Maintain equipment. Detect and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance as directed.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
  • Wear and use all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) properly and in accordance with manufacturer and regulations.

Job Specific Skills

Minimum requirements:

  • Completion of secondary education or equivalent.
  • Ability to accurately follow instructions.
  • Able to lift and extend with arms outstretched, up to 20 kgs. Tension is placed on pronating and supinating the wrist.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, machine mathematics and precision measurement equipment.
  • Able to wear all required, Company-provided safety gear during your shift. This includes goggles, aprons, boots, acid pants (optional), 2 sets of gloves, and a half mask or PAPR respirator.

We’d love to see:

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Experience wearing safety equipment during shift.
