The Manufacturing Project Leader is responsible for the planning and execution of all supply chain activities for new product development and production transfers into Cytiva or contract manufacturing locations. The Manufacturing Project Leader has a pivotal role in delivering complex projects on time and within budget through collaboration with other functions to engage suppliers, procure material, manufacture product and setup logistics to deliver the highest quality products to our customers.

This position reports to the Site & Operations Director and is part of the Operations & Supply Chain team located in Stevenage and will be an on-site role.

What you will do:

  • Plan all supply chain activities for new product development and production transfers
  • Evaluate and complete project deliverables to ensure Supply Chain readiness for each project launch
  • High-level resource planning of Supply Chain personnel required to support each project
  • Track, communicate and report key project information to stakeholders and senior management
  • Maintain full regulatory compliance with EHS, quality and legal requirements
  • Budget and monitor expenditure within operational plan

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Process Engineering (or a related field) with more than 3 years of relevant experience
  • Technical Project Management background with a detailed understanding of the validation requirements for manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Strong documentation skills (SOP, work instructions, URS, manufacturing plans, validation protocols) with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communicator (written & verbal), comfortable interacting at all levels of the organisation
  • Able to work independently and collaborate well across diverse functions in a matrix organisation

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Able to travel within UK/Europe in support of the role objectives (estimated at 10%)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Clean room environments in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry
  • Lean, Six Sigma and Design for Manufacture & Assembly
