The Role

We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Inspector to join the Operations team at Norton Motorcycles. You will be responsible for inspecting welded assemblies and fabricated components to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and safety expected of Norton products. This role plays a key part in supporting production efficiency and ensuring that all components meet regulatory and internal specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect welded assemblies, fabricated parts, and components to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards
  • Perform weld sample assessments and produce accurate inspection documentation
  • Identify and report defects or deviations, engaging with manufacturing and engineering teams for timely resolution
  • Maintain compliance with NADCAP, PCN Level 2, and Norton Motorcycles’ quality procedures
  • Support continual improvement initiatives within production and quality areas
  • Uphold strong timekeeping, accuracy, and attention to detail in all inspection tasks

Required Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • NADCAP qualification
  • PCN Level 2 certification
  • Strong knowledge of aluminium welding processes
  • Experience conducting weld sample assessments
  • Excellent punctuality and organisational skills

Desirable:

  • Experience in the Automotive or Aerospace sector
  • Prior work as a Weld Inspector or Fabrication Inspector
