About The Role

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Preparation of Management Accounts and Board Packs.
  • Support month-end close including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting preparation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in financial analysis, variance analysis, and reporting to support decision-making processes.
  • Taking a proactive ownership of the balance sheet reconciliations, including inter-company reconciliations.
  • Cash flow forecasting,
  • Identify process improvement opportunities within finance and actively participate in implementing solutions.
  • Prepare VAT returns and CIS returns.
  • Assist in the day-to-day operational finance including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance and support on projects.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and liaise with auditor.
  • Stay updated with relevant accounting regulations and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Mandatory

  • Qualified accountant (e.g. ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and month-end processes
  • Ability to prepare management accounts and support audit readiness
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Preferred

  • Experience of working within a large corporate group
  • Involvement in the implementation of an ERP
