We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team based at our Coalville site. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong grounding in finance who is looking to build their experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Financial Accountant to join our finance team based at our Coalville site. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong grounding in finance who is looking to build their experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Working closely with colleagues across operations, you’ll support key financial processes and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports with meaningful insight into variances, trends, and business outcomes.
- Deliver detailed analysis and commentary on financial and operational performance versus targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with operations teams to understand business drivers, provide financial insight, and support cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Review and enhance financial processes and controls to drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Leverage operational and financial data to identify opportunities for profitability and productivity improvements.
- Support ad hoc financial tasks and strategic projects, including scenario modelling, business case development, and systems enhancements.
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) – essential
- Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
- Excellent communication and business partnering skills with the ability to influence non-financial stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with a hands-on approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting software
- Experience in food manufacturing is highly desirable.
