Maintenance Fitter

Salary – £27,455 - £34,319 per annum

Hours – 40 hours per week, 14:00 to 23:00pm

Location – EnviroSort MRF – Woodbury Lane, Norton, Worcester - WR5 2DF

As a Maintenance Fitter at FCC Environment, you will play a vital role in ensuring our recycling facility operates efficiently and safely. You’ll be part of a skilled maintenance team responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, upgrades, and assisting with new installations.

This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week.

What will you be doing?

- Maintain and operate plant and equipment safely and efficiently

- Devise and deliver planned and preventative maintenance schedules

- Investigate and resolve equipment failures promptly

- Implement effective repairs and rectify defects

- Manage tools, materials, and spare parts

- Supervise and resource shutdown maintenance periods

- Co-ordinate with external contractors and agencies

- Support and train staff on plant and machinery operations

- Ensure safety devices and systems are maintained and tested

- Follow and enforce health and safety practices in all tasks

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Maintenance Fitter who:

- Has hands-on experience with mechanical maintenance in an industrial setting

- Can work independently and as part of a team

- Has a strong commitment to health and safety

- Can manage their time and workload efficiently

- Is confident working under pressure in a dynamic environment

- Holds relevant mechanical qualifications or equivalent experience
