We are looking to recruit a Logistics Service Operative to join our friendly team at a prestigious building in Cheltenham to undertake a range of Logistics activities which provide for the collection, carriage and delivery of a range of items. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Responsibilities

  • To carry out manual handling tasks.
  • Appropriately account for logistics tasks in order to maintain an audit trail.
  • Drive vehicles and operate mechanical handling equipment on and off site.
  • Undertake detached duty at off-site UK locations as appropriate, while such duties may include periods where it is necessary to be accommodated away from home (subsistence costs met in accordance with G4S policy).
  • Continuously develop and improve daily tasks as required.
  • Attend all appropriate training and development as required for this role.
  • Appropriately wear and maintain all items of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Carry out vehicle and machinery inspections before use and complete the associated paperwork.
  • Report all unsafe conditions, damage, near misses to the Appropriate Person - whether or not there are any personal injuries, in order that remedial action can be taken.


Essential

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Good verbal and written communication.


Desirable

  • Experience of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • FLT Licence.
  • Full driving licence.
