Logistics Manager - Cambridge Wastewater Treatment Project

Mott MacDonald Bentley are recruiting for a Logistics Manager to join our team in Cambridge.

We’re working on a major new project to build a modern waste water treatment plant at Honey Hill, just north of the A14 between Horningsea and Fen Ditton. This new plant will replace the current one in the northeast of Cambridge.

As a Logistics Manager you will contribute to projects that significantly impact our environment and communities.

The Role Of a Logistics Manager Includes

This role is aimed at construction professionals who can demonstrate a track-record of working on large scales projects with stakeholder and logistics management. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their suitability through their experience at interview.

• Ensure excellence and consistency in logistics execution and management.
• Management and coordination of vehicle movements and deliveries.
• Periodically review and update traffic management plans to reflect programme delivery
• Work with the community liaison manager to manage stakeholder expectations with construction traffic management and logistics.
• Ensure all supply chain execute all works in line with the traffic management plan, delivery logistics and vehicle specifications.
• Manage and liaise with on site security.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with any logistics software being used for scheme delivery.
  
  

What You’ll Need

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and power point
• Have experience gained in a management position within the construction, engineering or logistics sector
• Experience of managing Construction Traffic Management Plans or similar documents
• Good knowledge and experience of site establishment and ongoing operation and maintenance
• Good knowledge and experience of safe operational practice of vehicles, equipment and methods of loading and off-loading
• Good knowledge and practical experience of materials scheduling planning and organising deliveries to/from sites
• Experience of liaison with stakeholders including local authorities, emergency and highways authorities
• Working knowledge of Code of Construction Practice, CLOCS, FORS, Safety at Street Works COP
• Experience of working in high-pressure, complex operational and political environments, working at pace to deadlines and responding to rapidly changing circumstances and objectives
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English (essential)
