Primary Purpose Of The Job
Oversee and coordinate all logistical activities related to the transportation, storage, distribution, and delivery of vehicles. This role ensures timely delivery, accurate documentation, and compliance with company and industry standards. The coordinator acts as a key link between suppliers, manufacturers, transport providers, and customers to optimize logistics operations, minimize delays, and support overall storage and distribution efficiency within the automotive network.
Main Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate all logistical activities related to the transportation, storage, distribution, and delivery of vehicles. This role ensures timely delivery, accurate documentation, and compliance with company and industry standards. The coordinator acts as a key link between suppliers, manufacturers, transport providers, and customers to optimize logistics operations, minimize delays, and support overall storage and distribution efficiency within the automotive network.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of finished vehicles from manufacturing plants to ports, compounds, and dealerships.
- Manage relationships with transport carriers, port operators, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Oversee vehicle allocation, scheduling, and dispatch processes in alignment with customer orders and delivery targets.
- Manage and monitor al customs processes related to import and bonded storage
- Support 3PL carriers to develop an action plan in relation to any critical situations which arise.
- Use visibility reports to manage lates and ensure carrier OTD and lead-time performance.
- Ensure that service mailboxes are monitored and all enquiries are responded to in line with local KPIs.
- Raise PO's.
- Track, report, manage and ensure full visibility of all customer activity i.e. PDI, Transport, Claims
- Use detailed forecasts and shipping/build information to ensure capacities.
- Analyse indicators used for measuring unit results in order to implement corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards across all logistics operations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing delivery lead times, reducing logistics costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Participate in audits, risk assessments, and vendor performance evaluations to maintain high operational standards.
- Ad-hoc duties as and when required from time to time by your line manager
- Maintain accurate logistics data and performance metrics within company systems and prepare regular operational reports.
- Support in management of demo fleet and event transport coordination

- Collaboration Teams: Marketing and Sales teams of Geely Auto UK
- Managing multiple stakeholders—including manufacturing plants, logistics service providers, ports, and dealerships—requires precise coordination to ensure seamless end-to-end vehicle movement.
- Adjusting logistics plans quickly in response to fluctuating production volumes, sales priorities, and market demand variations requires agility and effective communication across departments.
- Maintaining accurate vehicle tracking information across multiple digital platforms and ensuring seamless integration between logistics and ERP systems is essential yet technically demanding.
- Driving process improvements and adopting innovative logistics solutions while maintaining daily operational performance requires strategic thinking and multitasking ability.
- Bachelor’s degree beneficial but not necessary
- 3+ years of experience in automotive industry preferably with finished vehicles
- Experience managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in handling customs documentation and vehicle registrations
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Effective business management report and presentation writing skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- High level of professionalism and discretion.
