Level Designer (Minecraft Builder) - Contractor

Were Tycer Media, the company responsible for millions of smiles a month on YouTube! Based in the UK, but with team members across the globe, our mission is to reach audiences for our Friend channel! Creating captivating stories, fun and joyous characters, and some of the best set designs in the Minecraft space. Pulling in 10 million views per month, and with over 1 Million subscribers.

As we grow, we are on the lookout for a talented Minecraft Video Set Builder to join the team.

This is a long-term position of 6+ months. This is a Contractor Position; for 4 - 8 Hours per week.

This is a Fully Remote job, you must be able to work with a UK based team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the creative team to brainstorm and ideate innovative Minecraft builds that align with our narratives.
• Work closely with our writers to develop fresh and unique set designs for each video.
• Ensure consistent branding across all videos by integrating channel-specific elements.
• Create builds with pathing and narrative flow in mind, based on script requirements.
• Coordinate with the CEO and creative team to deliver high-quality content during pre-production.
• Build, catalog, and manage Minecraft maps, including creating schematics.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Minecraft, including its story, items, mobs, and mechanics, with a willingness to learn more.
• Expertise in Minecraft building tools (e.g., Axiom, World Edit), to allow you to create whole sets at speed.
• Passion for YouTube and gaming content, particularly within the Minecraft community.
• Understanding of set design tailored for video content, particularly for a younger audience.
• Ability to analyze past video performance to enhance audience retention through improved set design.
• Strong dedication to visual presentation and branding.
• Self-discipline and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
