The Opportunity
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Compliance Manager to join the Global in-house Legal Team at William Grant and Sons on a fixed term contract. The role will involve supporting the Head of Legal Compliance and the wider Legal Team in all areas of compliance work, but with particular focus on the anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), gifts and hospitality (G&H), know your customer (KYC), fraud prevention and competition law compliance programmes.
What you’ll be doing
- Assisting the Head of Legal Compliance in developing and implementing effective legal compliance programs and initiatives globally.
- Planning and conducting comprehensive compliance training sessions.
- Drafting and maintaining current legal compliance policies.
- analyzing global compliance trends and drafting reports for Executive Board, Audit Committee and other stakeholders
- Conducting internal investigations, including review of evidence and preparing witness statements.
- Overseeing legal compliance portals and addressing related queries.
- Serving as the escalation point for KYC, ABC, and G&H inquiries.
- Continuously evaluating and refining compliance systems to ensure optimal performance
About You
You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to strict timeframes. You will have strong computer literacy (Excel, word, MS365, Sharepoint) and will be confident operating independently to find solutions to problems and to establish improved ways of working. Experience of compliance processes (e.g. KYC, ABC, G&H or other due diligence processes) is essential.
