Leaving Care Employability Coordinator
North East Lincolnshire Council

Could you be the person who helps care-experienced young people take their next big step into the world of work?
If you’re someone who thrives on building relationships, solving problems, and making a real difference in people’s lives, then this could be the role for you.
We’re looking for a Leaving Care Employability Coordinator to lead our exciting, innovative new programme – The Family Enterprise – which will support care leavers in North East Lincolnshire to find meaningful, sustainable employment.
What’s the Family Enterprise all about?
The Family Enterprise is more than just a programme—it’s a pathway to brighter futures. It’s our way of ensuring that care-experienced individuals aren’t left behind when it comes to employment, education, and training. We work alongside them, advocate for them, and open doors that might otherwise stay closed.
What will your day look like?
You’ll start your day checking in with your caseload of participants—young people who are navigating the challenges of finding work or training. Some might need help preparing for an interview, others might be struggling with confidence or unsure about their next steps. You’ll be there to guide them, offering practical advice and emotional support.
Later, you might be meeting with local employers or training providers, building partnerships and creating new opportunities. You’ll be the connector—linking young people with the right roles, and helping employers understand the value of supporting care leavers.
You’ll also be keeping an eye on the bigger picture—tracking progress, reviewing placements, and making sure the programme is delivering real, lasting outcomes. Whether it’s supporting the design of a new pre-employment workshop or tweaking a training plan to better suit someone’s needs, you’ll be constantly adapting and improving.
Who are we looking for?
You’re someone who’s confident working with a wide range of people—from young adults to senior stakeholders. You understand the challenges care-experienced individuals face, and you’re passionate about helping them succeed.
You’ve probably worked in recruitment, education, social care, or a similar field. You’re organised, proactive, and great at juggling priorities. Most importantly, you believe in people—and you’re ready to be their champion.
Why join us?
Because this isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to lead a programme that changes lives. You’ll be part of a supportive, forward-thinking team that values your ideas and your energy. And you’ll go home each day knowing that what you do really matters.
