Role Summary
At the forefront of technical decision making whilst managing the performance and professional development of a team of talented technologists, our Lead Software Engineers are key to our ongoing success.
Working with a team of Engineers, you’ll be utilising Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality software on a fortnightly cadence. Collaborating with Product Owners, Project Managers and fellow Lead Software Engineers, your ability to communicate effectively will help influence the strategic growth of our SaaS platform.
Our Lead Software Engineers are proficient in coding but are aware that their ability to coach and mentor their teams is invaluable compared to their ability to churn through code on their own.

Key Responsibilities
- Technically mentor and help develop a team of Engineers
- Responsible for the fortnightly technical output of a Product / Project Team
- Collaborating with Product Owners on tactical delivery and planning with Product Managers the strategic long-term goals of the Product
- Instilling an Agile mindset of continuous improvement and iterative gain
- Mentoring and coaching team members on best practices and ways of working
- Provide technical leadership and participate in development efforts.
- Act as a subject matter expert, both from a domain and technology view.
- Technologist. Passionate about technology, you’re proficient in C#, SQL, JavaScript, cloud-based technologies, and designing distributed systems. We want you to be an enthusiast with ideas and experience of building and rolling out a technical roadmap.
- Agile. Using a myriad of Agile tools and communicative prowess, you can conjure-up clarity from ambiguity. Believing in the delivery of small, iterative increments to mitigate risk, you know how to break down requirements into bitesize deliverables.
- Organised. It can be fast moving here. You’ll need to be able to flex, to meet short term demands, but also lead your team by example, with an organised, prioritised and structured working approach in evidence.
- Leader. You’ll identify yourself as a technology leader with prior experience empowering a and running a small direct team of software engineers. You will help prioritise their workload and coach them towards on time and quality delivery.
