PBS (Semco UK) are looking for a Lead Planner to join our team. This role is overall responsible for overseeing the planning function for major projects, ensuring strategic alignment and effective management of all planning activities.
Details/duties
- Lead the development of strategic project plans, including comprehensive schedules, resource allocation, and risk management
- Manage and mentor the planning team, providing direction and support to ensure high-quality planning outputs
- Integrate planning activities with overall project and program management efforts, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives
- Monitor and assess project performance, providing recommendations for adjustments and improvements
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define requirements, provide updates, and address planning-related concerns
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential impacts on project delivery
- Prepare and present detailed planning reports, highlighting progress, risks, and performance metrics
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and contractual obligations in all planning activities
- Identify and drive improvements in planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Address and resolve complex planning issues, providing effective solutions to ensure project success.
- Bachelor’s degree in project management, Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in a senior or lead planning role within the energy sector
- Advanced certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2). (Desirable)
