About The Role

We are seeking a clinically confident and experienced Lead Pharmacist to take ownership of pharmacy leadership at our Scimitar Park site. This is a non-patient-facing role, focused on high-cost, specialist medications not commonly seen in community pharmacy.


As the site’s Lead Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in medicines management, clinical decision-making, and regulatory compliance. You’ll bring strong clinical judgement, leadership capability, and the confidence to make decisions based on experience and best practice.


Key Responsibilities

-Act as the Responsible Pharmacist for the site

-Provide clinical leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations

-Lead and develop a team of pharmacists and technicians

-Ensure compliance with GPhC standards and regulatory frameworks

-Support medicines management and clinical governance initiatives

-Collaborate with internal teams to drive service excellence

-Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and business projects

-Leading the pharmacy team and ensuring smooth daily operations

-Making clinical decisions based on best practice and experience

-Supporting staff development through mentoring and coaching

-Liaising with QA, compounding, and customer service teams

-Driving continuous improvement in pharmaceutical care

About You


-GPhC-registered Pharmacist with Independent Prescribing qualification

-Proven experience in a senior or leadership role such as regional management

-Strong background in medicines management

-Clinically confident with sound judgement and decision-making skills

-Excellent communication, mentoring, and organisational abilities
