What You'll Be Handling
- Collaborate with various departments to understand design requirements and conduct mathematical analyses for concept designs of materials handling machines.
- Work with systems and hardware design teams to create functional electro-mechanical layouts and electrical panels, incorporating new technologies when needed.
- Participate in diverse job functions, including SYEC and HWEC work, with training in both areas.
- Define and agree on interface points and requirements with Warehouse Management System Teams.
- Develop and test software concepts, and PLC/HMI code, primarily using Siemens Step 7 and Siemens TIA Portal, and maintain revision control of PLC code libraries.
- Document, test, and support the implementation of PLC software, ensuring adherence to company standards and best practices, while providing necessary training and knowledge transfer during retrofit projects.
