Lead CMDB Analyst (SME)

We are looking to recruit a Lead CMDB Analyst to guide and support our small team whilst taking ownership of the services, being responsible to each client and ensuring the service's efficacy and efficiency.

The role involves working with tools like ServiceNow and Manage Engine and the focus is on the methodology and the ability to work with different ITSM tool sets with several of our customers.

The CMDB Lead will support the team in their daily activities, manage the CMDB, and work on service improvements.

This hybrid role offers fantastic support for work life balance, being predominantly based from home, with only monthly visits to our offices in Salford desired for monthly catch up and collaboration meetings. We can also facilitate more frequent visits if preferred.

What you'll be doing:

• Providing support and guidance to the other CMDB Analysts within the team
• Acting as the main point of contact for the services provided
• Managing the asset and it’s performance throughout it’s life cycle
• Implement service improvements using automation and AI solutions
• Reviewing incoming data, maintaining its integrity and identifying anomalies
• Updating the CMDB with new requests or changes and completing within agreed timeframes.
  
  

What you’ll bring:

• Extensive experience within CMDB
• A proven track record in managing and shaping CMDB services
• The ability to find efficiencies and implement solutions using AI and automation
• A strong communication style, with the ability to adapt depending on your audience
• A deep understanding and certification in ITIL practices
  
  

It would be great if you had:

• Previous experience of leading CMDB Analysts
• A background of working with ServiceNow and Manage Engine
