  • Contract: Part Time – Fixed Term Contract until 31 July 2024, working 1 day per week (day to be negotiated at interview)
  • Salary: The salary for this post is £152 per day - Term Time Only.
  • Start Date: Immediate

Overall Purpose of the Post

  • To provide regular opportunities for students to speak individually or in small groups with a native Spanish speaker.
  • To support students in developing and practicing languages skills necessary for the speaking examinations.

Key Duties

  • Under direction of MFL teaching staff, to take responsibility for weekly speaking lessons with individual

students and/or small groups, amounting to 1 day per week.

  • To provide topic-related materials that will stimulate discussion.
  • To ensure that lessons follow the relevant examination topics.
  • To ensure that lessons are conducted predominantly in Spanish.
  • Under direction of MFL teaching staff, to practise specific examination skills and conduct practice

examinations with individual students.

Support for the College

  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security,

confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

  • Be aware of and support difference to help ensure everyone has equal access to the services of the college

and feels valued, respecting their social, cultural linguistic, religious, and ethnic background.

  • Contribute to the college ethos, aims and development plan.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required.
  • Undertake personal development through training and other learning activities including performance management as required.
