We are currently recruiting for our YO! Sushi store situated in the departures area of London Luton Airport; we are currently looking for energetic, enthusiastic new members to join the team that have a passion for excellence, teamwork and a passion for great food!!
Previous experience in a food environment and a customer facing role preferred but not essential.
Hours: Flexibility for work pattern over 7 days on a shift basis.
Job Purpose:
As a Kitchen Team Member you'll play a vital role in the preparation and production of YO! Sushi food products, both hot and cold dishes. You'll work as part of a team to prepare and serve high-quality food, maintain a clean and organised environment, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare food items according to brand guidelines, recipes and procedures. Follow food safety protocols to ensure the freshness and quality of food products. Operate equipment to cook and assemble menu items to order. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food is cooked to perfection. Demonstrate a good working knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques. Support with the setup, maintenance, handover and close down workstations each shift. Have a strong knowledge of all our product specs to deliver our fantastic menu to the highest standards.
Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the restaurant, including dining areas, kitchen surfaces and equipment. Follow cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for customers and team members.
Inventory: Keep track of inventory levels for food, beverage, and packaging supplies, and restock as needed to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. Rotate stock and check expiration dates to minimise waste and ensure product freshness.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to coordinate food preparation, assembly, and service efficiently. Communicate effectively with other Team Members and Supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues or concerns.
Customer Service: Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude, take orders accurately and efficiently, and manage customer payments. Deal with customer inquiries promptly and professionally.
Work environment:
This role is in a fast-paced environment that can be physically demanding; extended periods standing, walking, and performing repetitive tasks.
