About the Role:

We are currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Junior Software Developer to join our expanding team. The successful applicant will have a solid foundation in IT and a passion for coding, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the development team to design, code, and maintain high-quality, innovative, and performant software applications.
  • Understand and contribute to technical specifications, designs, and solutions.
  • Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
  • Help troubleshoot issues and maintain our existing software solutions, enhancing performance and functionality as needed.
  • Keep abreast of the latest advancements in technology to ensure our software solutions are using updated resources.


Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with a programming language, such as Python, Java, C++, etc.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies.

  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.


Location & Workplace Type

This position takes on a hybrid working model, based in Newry, NI.
