At Ashfield MedComms, we are looking to add to our Global Production Artwork team who are a welcoming and supportive group. The work involved is of a scientific nature and involves creating visuals and infographics around statistical data.
The Junior Production Artwork Designer will support on scientific figure redraws, medical illustrations and scientific posters. You will be proficient in both Adobe and Microsoft, with a strong focus on PowerPoint and Illustrator (InDesign is also used, but not essential) for which you may have a portfolio of examples.
You’ll join talented designers in the Global Production Artwork team and further your skills in scientific infographics, posters, figures, and medical illustrations. Reporting to the Production Artwork Manager and under the guidance of a Senior Designer you will learn new skills, uphold designer principles, champion quality, and produce materials for a wide variety of high-end clients.
Position within the agency: You will report directly to the Production Artwork Manager/Studio Director and will work closely with the wider Creative team to share and learn new skills and techniques. You will be supported in managing projects to ensure they are delivered on time and to budget. As part of the team, you’ll be exposed to wider creative talent and immersed in new medical communications projects.

- Creating and amending PowerPoint, Illustrator and InDesign projects
- Development of highly accurate scientific and data driven information for both digital and print
- Adhere to our processes to ensure we are as efficient as possible
- Build strong relationships with our account teams for a one team approach
- A keen eye for accuracy and detail
- Be both creative and precise
- Solution focused; ensure processes are followed and help to create standards
- Strong communication skills; ability to take an effective brief and understand requirements. The role requires regular contact with colleagues, so an approachable manner is essential
- Able to be both team-focused and work well independently
- Driven; help enhance the offerings of the Creative team through skill sharing
- Eager to learn; take part in training and other developmental offerings
- Projects being accurately, within time and budget
