We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team and support the assembly of cutting-edge medical technologies.
Role Overview:
This position is focused on performing precision mechanical and optical assembly processes, ensuring the exact alignment and integration of complex optomechanical subsystems. The ideal candidate will have a meticulous approach, strong documentation skills, and a collaborative mindset to work closely with cross-functional teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute precise mechanical and optical assembly operations, with a focus on tight-tolerance optomechanical integration critical to medical device functionality.
- Conduct detailed in-process inspections and verifications to ensure full compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate, real-time documentation of assembly processes and test results, supporting traceability and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot issues, implement corrective actions, and optimize assembly processes.
- Train and mentor new technicians in advanced assembly techniques, equipment handling, and adherence to standardized work instructions.
- Participate in root cause analysis and failure investigations, supporting continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in mechanical or optical assembly, ideally within the medical device, aerospace, or high-tech industries.
- Strong understanding of optomechanical systems and alignment techniques.
- High level of precision, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and assembly documentation.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and documentation practices (e.g., ISO 13485, GMP).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in mentoring or training roles is a plus.
Education:
- Technical diploma or associate degree in mechanical engineering, optics, or a related field preferred.
