Main purpose of the role:

We are looking for a Junior Finance Assistant who is looking to progress their career within an exciting very fast-growing e-commerce company working for both of our brands, AYBL and Because of Alice. You will join a finance team supporting a very fast-growing group helping to improve processes and controls, supporting the rest of the business as it moves into the next chapter of growth.


Roles & responsibilities:

  • Processing both sales and purchase invoices, ensuring accurate documentation and entry into the accounting system (Xero)
  • Bank reconciliations including purchases via Soldo
  • Ensure invoices correctly mapped from A2X in Xero
  • Assisting with month end procedures and reconciliations
  • Assisting with the statutory audit as necessary ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations
  • Contribute ways to develop and improve the financial and commercial controls and processes
  • General admin duties as required


Requirements:

  • Ideally at least 1 year’s industry experience
  • At least AAT Level 2 qualified with the opportunity for AAT Level 3 (and or 4, following successful probation period)
  • Experience using accounting software (Xero preferred)
  • Attention to detail and able to show initiative when solving problems
  • Ability to prioritise workload and remain organised in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and always conduct themselves in a professional manner
  • Driven work ethic, taking ownership of your work/role
  • Excellent written English and verbal communication skills
  • Strong maths skills and comfortable working with large amounts of data and competent with Excel (essential)

Our home is located in Redditch, South Birmingham, with easy access routes to the M5/M42, a 20-minute walk to the train station, as well as many bus routes. Not forgetting Arrow Valley Lake which is a stone’s throw away and a beautiful spot to get those steps in or enjoy your lunch with a view.
