Job Purpose

Developing expertise in the selection and development of next generation materials and products matched to applications.

You will work with the next generation products for the Oil & Gas, Mining and floating offshore wind (FOW) sector.

Support R&D and Operation s on the development and manufacturing of new and existing rope products to meet the needs of a developing industrial sector.

Contributing to the evolving synthetic rope design system, assisting in creation of synthetic rope designs and selection of standard products to meet application requirements. Work with ERP System and develop a full understanding of the design to product process.

Hands-on lifecycle project management from requirements specification and concept feasibility through verification and validation of products to field trial, installation and commercialization.

Conduct time studies and analyze manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement. Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues with manufacturing equipment and processes. Work closely with the production manager and team to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements in all manufacturing processes. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to bring innovative solutions to the team.

Key Accountabilities

Design&Production

• Work with internal stakeholders (Sales, Technology, and Operations)
• Identify products that fulfil customer requirements
• Create technical drawing of product assemblies, matching customer specifications.
• Set-up and Maintenance of the product design parameters and specifications, matching design inputs with operational parameters
• Create of production orders in ERP system
• Tracking and monitoring progress of measurable i.e. time, cost and quality
  
  

Planning & Organizing

• A qualified Mechanical, industrial or Materials Science Engineer
• Project management experience not mandatory but desirable
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Office; AutoCad or SolidWorks; Minitab; Advanced Excel and macros is a plus.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, including technical report writing skills and delivering presentations.
