Roles And Responsibilities
- Research, develop and designing across womenswear jersey product including and identifying key shapes for the season and selecting fabric.
- Create jersey ranges in line with the Club L image and vision
- Present your work in sign offs/meetings to Managers & CEO.
- Partake in sourcing and inspiration trips nationally and overseas.
- Have a strong knowledge of jersey fabric and garment construction
- Create detailed technical packs for your designs including information on construction, measurements, fabrication & trimmings.
- Manage all sample queries from suppliers during sample development stage.
- Build key relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Work closely with the Garment Tech team and Pattern Cutters during the design development stage to ensure optimum execution of first samples.
- Attend fit sessions with the Garment Techs to ensure samples are executed according to the techpack and to the Club L London standards.
- Plan and work closely with in-house Buying and Merch teams, collaborating to create fresh product and collections in line with key trading periods.
- At least 3 years' experience, preferably within slow-fashion/luxury environment, with at least 1-2 years jersey focused design
- Experience designing Multi-product ladieswear – specialising in jersey fabrications
- Understanding of the brand's handwriting and ability to adapt design skills to this
- Good technical experience for creating techpacks
- Sound understanding of design software (e.g. Adobe platforms)
- Able to demonstrate Club L's key values: communication, collaboration, creativity
