Here at GXO, we have a new opportunity available for an IT Technician to join our team, working for one of our busy shared user sites at Northampton. You’ll ensure that the systems (hardware & software) are running smoothly and any issues with the systems are resolved in the quickest time possible.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday – Nights 10pm-6am
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of £27,785 per annum Inclusive of nights allowance, and 28 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Responsible for the physical appearance and safety of the working environment
- Ensure all direct activities have a fit for purpose SOP and actively pursue the elimination of waste through the application of continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Develop and maintain appropriate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performance
- Review and improve processes relevant to the IT tasking and ensure they are fully documented and kept up to date
- IT systems experience, ideally within a logistics/warehouse environment
- Ability to work individually showing initiative
- Takes ownership of processes and responsibility for own workload
- Problem-solving and analytic skills
