Job Purpose

The Subsea Support Specialist is responsible for the successful support and implementation of existing and new information technology solutions, as well as enhancements driven by local business improvements and solution lifecycles. The role will focus on supporting VSO (Vessel & Spoolbase Operations) business unit on a technical operations level to deliver outstanding service to our vessels and operational sites. The position is assisted by various IT delivery and specialist teams.

Job Description

  • Work with affiliated business stakeholders and development teams related to scope and ensure effective communication regarding issue resolution and the impact of system changes.
  • Identify, document and propose improvements to ways of working which will promote efficiency across the Subsea domain
  • Ensure quality support for Vessels, Spoolbases and remote operation rooms
  • Engage with business to capture, analyse and review business requirements and identify appropriate innovative solutions utilising existing, or emerging technologies
  • Act as Interface between business and IDS to assist with ticket resolution and escalations
  • Work closely with Business Partners to assist in project definition, specification and delivery
  • Provide support to the Vessels during maintenance periods, mobilizations, and demobilizations to ensure all business requirements are addressed
  • Monitor performance of vendors, contractors and 3rd parties.
  • Coordinate and communicate planned changes and IDS related maintenance
  • Manage Business Engagement related ITSM ticket queues.
  • Ensure that cyber-security policies and procedures are applied and implemented.
  • Produce regular reports as required by business

You Are Meant For This Job If

  • HND\Degree in IT related subject or proven relevant experience
  • Experience with vessels and offshore environment will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Project Management
  • Ability to balance user, stakeholder, and technical needs within demanding timelines
  • Experience of PowerApps and PowerBI beneficial
  • Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting and setup with emphasis on satellite systems
  • Must have or willingness to develop Lean Thinking
  • Design and implement solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
  • Knowledge of W10/W11 Enterprise configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience using ITSM tools, knowledge of ServiceNow will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required
  • Experience in hardware troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional time management and sense of urgency
  • Availability to travel and occasional out hours work
  • UK driving license
