An exciting opportunity has arisen in for an IT specialist in Regulatory Services. We are seeking applicants for the role of Subject Matter Expert - this is a 3-year fixed term post.

Key Responsibilities Of The Role Are

  • Lead and manage regulatory IT projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate regulatory requirements into IT systems.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on regulatory matters.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise regulatory processes.

You’ll be responsible for working with the Management Team and colleagues across the Service and IT to understand and lead on the procurement project to replace the current management information system used by the Service to record and report on statutory functions which protect the public. Functions of the Service include food and feed hygiene and standards, animal health and welfare, trading standards, licensing, pollution control, health and safety and the dog warden.

To join us, you’ll need a level 6 qualification, strong leadership and analytical skills and be able to effectively manage resources. You’ll be an excellent communicator who is able to explain technical information clearly to stakeholders from technical and non-technical backgrounds.
