How You'll Make An Impact
- Develop and maintain comprehensive Disaster Recovery plans for business and IT systems.
- Create and manage Disaster Recovery Test Runbook plans for specific IT system tests.
- Oversee and maintain the annual Disaster Recovery Testing Schedule.
- Manage Corporate DR Planning tools such as DRAIP, JIRA, and shared documents.
- Coordinate and execute physical testing of Disaster Recovery Plans, including creating test runbooks, scheduling tests with stakeholders, obtaining IT Change Control approvals, and arranging test resources.
- Ensure effective communication with business and IT users before and during DR tests.
- Coordinate resources during DR tests and collect test results and evidence.
- Generate and store DR Test Reports to document completion of DR tests.
- Conduct DR test re-runs if necessary and track and report post-test actions until resolution.
- Ensure DR tests are conducted safely and securely, without impacting production systems.
- Develop and maintain site/location/platform/scenario-specific IT Disaster Recovery plans.
- Provide DR Statistics for management reporting purposes.
- Support business and IT projects with DR design, process information, and pre-go live actions.
- Escalate identified gaps in the DR environment to the DR Manager, and act as a deputy for the Disaster Recovery Manager when required.
- Ensure junior members of the IT Continuity team are competent and effectively utilised.
- Follow internal policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Gallagher's shared values.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as requested by management.
- Bring your experience of working with BC/DR environments to contribute to our team
- BCI/DRII membership would be beneficial, but not essential
- Utilising BC/DR industry best practices to impact our BC/DR deliveries
- Working towards set deadlines and tackle challenges with initiative.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication, to effectively collaborate with colleagues.
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to your work.
