We're looking for an experienced IT Director – Design and Extensions to join us who will be responsible for overseeing the design on Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS) deployments in the UK region and providing the design sign-off. This role requires deep expertise in Blue Yonder WMS, strong leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset to align technology solutions with business goals.

We're looking for an experienced IT Director – Design and Extensions to join us who will be responsible for overseeing the design on Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (WMS) deployments in the UK region and providing the design sign-off. This role requires deep expertise in Blue Yonder WMS, strong leadership capabilities, and a strategic mindset to align technology solutions with business goals.
what You'll Do
- Drive Performance: Accountable for the overall design of Blue Yonder WMS deployments within the region.
- Innovate: Guiding and influencing design workshops on project kick off. Utilising Supply chain and logistics operational knowledge and Blue Yonder technical product knowledge to capture business requirements.
- Lead with Purpose: Develop and govern the IT Product strategies required to maintain a sustainable, scalable and affordable approach to Blue Yonder WMS design and deployment. Provide IT leadership and governance to ensure the design process is in line with the DHL standardisation agenda, while aligning the solution with the fundamentals of the operational needs.
- Ensure Compliance: Responsible for providing knowledge and guidance and be accountable for the overall design of BY WMS deployments within the UK region. Vendor and Global Centre of Excellence relationships are key to the success of this role.
- In-depth Blue Yonder WMS technical design experience.
- Supply chain and logistics operations experience gained in a similar WMS design leadership role.
- Extensive experience of WMS Blue Yonder implementation project management, with the ability of managing multiple projects and budgets simultaneously.
- Experience in managing technical teams with a focus on coaching and development.
- Skilled in senior stakeholder management with resilience in high-pressure environments.
- Experience in deploying IT solutions in dynamic, customer-facing settings.
- Extensive experience in shaping a product roadmap and managing alignment across senior executives and stakeholders.
- Experience of financial/commercial awareness and budget responsibility.
- RP Discrete Configuration Training and SQL Basics Course – essential.
- Prince2 Foundation & Practitioner certifications – desirable.
- Experience with Merlin tool and ACT Workshop – desirable.
