The IT Developer ensures the development and implementation of high-quality, secure, resilient, and supportable solutions that meet functional requirements and align with end-to-end designs.
The IT Developer will contribute to the design of ERP system configurations, extensions, and integrations between our ERP (IFS) and Integrated Systems via our IPaaS (Snaplogic).

The role will offer hybrid working based from Harrogate (HG2 7DL). Please note that this position is not suitable for fully remote applicants, as regular on-site collaboration in Harrogate is essential.

As an IT Developer, your key responsibilities will be:
- Design, develop, and maintain ERP configurations and integrations, primarily using IFS and SnapLogic, to support business processes and ensure seamless data flow across systems.
- Write clean, functional, and maintainable code using PL/SQL, .NET, JavaScript, Python, or similar languages, contributing to secure and resilient software solutions. Adhere to coding standards.
- Collaborate with Technical Architects and the IT Senior Developer to develop Low-Level Designs and implement integration changes aligned with architectural standards.
- Support the full development lifecycle, including version control via source control and peer reviews, documentation, release management, and the successful transition of solutions into service with appropriate hypercare.
- Contribute to innovation and solution design, including prototyping, exploring low-code/no-code options, and identifying opportunities to improve software delivery.
- Ensure quality and compliance across the development lifecycle, working closely with Test Analysts to validate solutions. Ensure adherence to standards and regulation including to ISO27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
- Partner with support teams to resolve development issues impacting live services, occasionally supporting Out of Hours (OOH) operations.
- Mentor and upskill colleagues, including IT, Change, and business leads, to build technical capability and promote internal best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping to refine development methodologies, tools, and internal standards while staying current with emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, using tools like Azure DevOps, Halo, and Confluence to manage development tasks and ensure cohesive delivery.
- Partner with Function and Technical Architecture to align development work with strategic goals and technical direction.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of the IFS and Snaplogic solution capabilities and best practice, staying up-to-date with product roadmaps and releases, bringing understanding of new capabilities into practice.
