Job Purpose
An IT Asset Manager who is responsible for overseeing and managing EMCOR UK's entire IT asset lifecycle, including hardware and software, by tracking their procurement, deployment, usage, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring optimal utilisation, cost efficiency, and compliance with relevant policies and licenses throughout their lifespan; key duties include maintaining asset inventory, managing software licenses, optimising technology spend and reporting on asset health and usage to key stakeholders.

Job Purpose
An IT Asset Manager who is responsible for overseeing and managing EMCOR UK's entire IT asset lifecycle, including hardware and software, by tracking their procurement, deployment, usage, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring optimal utilisation, cost efficiency, and compliance with relevant policies and licenses throughout their lifespan; key duties include maintaining asset inventory, managing software licenses, optimising technology spend and reporting on asset health and usage to key stakeholders.
Asset Inventory Management
- Accountable for working with Senior IT Managers to produce and adhere to an ITAM roadmap and standard.
- Accurately track all IT assets (hardware and software) through their lifecycle using dedicated asset management tools.
- Maintain detailed asset information such as serial numbers, purchase dates, warranty details, and end-of-life dates.
- Regularly updating asset records with changes like transfers, upgrades, and disposals.
- Accountable for processing service requests through the ServiceNow ITSM toolset.
- Collaborating with procurement teams and vendors to source new IT assets, ensuring compliance with budget and Information Security controls.
- Managing asset deployment processes, including installation, configuration, and user provisioning.
- Accountable for ensuring maintenance and support contact renewals are appropriate, ensuring compliance with EMCOR UK standards, while achieving a cost effective solution.
- Tracking software licenses and ensuring compliance with vendor agreements.
- Monitoring software usage to identify potential licensing issues and cost optimization opportunities.
- Oversight for reviewing asset terms and conditions with MSA & EULA.
- Implementing strategies for asset refresh cycles, including planning for upgrades and replacements.
- Managing asset disposal procedures, including data sanitization and responsible recycling.
- Generating reports on asset utilization, cost trends, and compliance status for senior management.
- Responsible for identifying and implementing new tracking, trending and reporting processes.
- Responsible for reviewing and updating asset policy and procedure when required.
- Responsible for Identifying and performing ITAM key controls. Documenting policy and procedure and ensure processes are in adherence to governance framework.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks associated with IT assets.
- Responsible for participating in manage service reviews with suppliers to ensure service levels are adhered to where applicable
- Accountable for building and maintaining constructive working relationships with Procurement, Service Desk, Application Owners, End Users and Vendors.

Who You'll Be
- Proven experience in Hardware and Software Asset Management for at least 3 years
- Expertise in IT asset management tools and methodologies
- Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with different teams
- Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines
- Experience of using ServiceNow to manage both HAM and SAM
- Able to identify and deliver continuous improvements in ITAM to improve maturity
- Confident with licences metrics for Tier 1 vendors such as Microsoft, Adobe, VMWare, Palo Alto etc
- Experienced in understanding software contracts and terms
- Work with other technical teams and stakeholders to provide end to end ITAM capabilities
- Experience with regulatory compliance issues as they apply to Infrastructure and the wider Technology Department
