General Summary:

This role is for Engineer/ Senior Engineer for supporting Qualcomm IOT Business customer base in EMEA region in Industrial, consumer and compute on the edge verticals. We are looking for:

Engineer:

• Postgraduate with 1-2 years of experience.
• Undergraduate with 2-3 years of experience.
• Candidates recently graduated in Undergraduate / Postgraduate with excellent academics (2:1) in STEM/Computer Science and Information systems and could demonstrate good understanding of Embedded systems, software programming will be considered.

• Postgraduate with 3-5 years of experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Job Function:

Candidate will join Qualcomm Customer Engineering team and work with a team of highly motivated and experienced engineers and industrial players in EMEA region for designing & developing system on modules and products based on Qualcomm’s exciting new IoT focused SoCs with cutting edge AI, Machine learning, computer vision, security and wireless including cellular communication technologies.

Customer Engineering Role:

Understand key aspects of customers' system requirements and designs.

To communicate with internal development teams on customers’ issues/features/designs.

To work with customers in developing customized features and resolving development stage/product commercialization issues.

Help external stakeholder including direct customers, design houses, eco-systems partners to easily port their applications on Qualcomm SoC based systems and utilizes various compute capabilities and software feature set on the Qualcomm SoC

To train customers on Qualcomm’s platforms and features

Collaborate across multiple locations and travel when required to directly support customers.

Skills/experience:

Multiple level depending on experience.

Engineer:

• Postgraduate with 1-2 years of experience.
• Undergraduate with 2-3 years of experience.

Senior Engineer:

• Postgraduate with 3-5 years of experience.
• Graduate with 4-5 years of experience.
• Familiar with embedded system running complex and multimedia feature rich OS like Ubuntu, yocto linux and Android.
• Strong experience in C/C++ programming and python.
• Exposure tasks like camera sensor bring-up, camera tuning, gstreamer multimedia pipeline bring-up and integration, display bring-up, graphic acceleration using vulkan or OpenCL, is desirable.
• Exposure Computer vision and AI/ML framework is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, high motivation, the ability to learn quickly and must be a self-starter.
  
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Integration, development, debugging various Multimedia related functionalities around camera, display, video or graphic. Assignment may vary based on customer project needs.
• Computer vision and AL/ML application integration based on customer requirements.
• Handling customer’s Q&A and work closely with internal developers.
• Training customers on QC platforms and features.
  
  
  

Education Requirements:

• Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or STEM related field.
• Good hands-on C / C++ is must. Knowledge on Java and python will be nice to have.
• Exposure on gstreamer framework, various of AI/ML framework like tflite, pytorch, etc would be desirable.
• Recent graduates must demonstrate good understanding of at least one programming language of C/C++.
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills in English (both oral and written). Fluent oral and written communication skill in German or French or Spanish will be highly valued.
