We are looking for a part-time invigilator to supervise maths, English and ICT exams in various locations around Surrey and London.

This is a flexible role with no set hours each month and will involve the collection of exam papers and materials from the exams coordinator prior to the exam from our office in Farnham and then returning scripts and exam papers after each exam.

The role will consist of;

• Setting up examination venues by laying out stationery, equipment and examination papers in accordance with strict procedures from awarding organisations.
• Assisting learners prior to the start of examinations by directing them to their seats and advising them about possessions permitted in examination venues.
• Ensuring that learners do not talk once inside examination venues.
• Invigilating during examinations, dealing with queries raised by learners and dealing with examination irregularities in accordance with strict procedures.
• Collecting and collating scripts / papers at the end of the examination in accordance with strict procedures.
  
  

Previous experience is not necessary as training will be given but we would be looking for someone with;

• An understanding of examination processes
• Effective oral/written communication skills
• Numeracy
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Flexible approach to work
• Ability to relate to staff and learners
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  
  

There is also the requirement to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
