As an Investor Relations Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of how Severn Trent communicates with its most influential stakeholders—our investors. Working closely with our CEO, CFO, and senior leadership, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining and growing investor relationships, ensuring our financial narrative is clear, compelling, and aligned with our strategic goals.
This is a high-impact role where your insights and communication will directly influence how Severn Trent is perceived in the market. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that covers both equity investor relations and ESG reporting, with a primary focus on equity.

As an Investor Relations Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of how Severn Trent communicates with its most influential stakeholders—our investors. What You’ll Be Doing
- Be the voice of Severn Trent: Manage direct communications with investors, crafting updates, newsletters, and responses that reflect our values and performance.
- Create compelling content: Draft presentations, reports, and briefing materials for high-profile audiences including the plc Board, CEO, and CFO.
- Drive key moments: Support full and half-year reporting cycles, coordinate investor roadshows, and ensure seamless delivery of results.
- Lead event logistics: Organise and execute investor events, conferences, and site visits, working with brokers and advisors to target the right audiences.
- Own the data: Maintain and analyse our investor CRM, using insights to inform strategy and improve engagement.
- Collaborate across the business: Build strong relationships with internal teams to gather information and support IR activities.
- Be the first point of contact: Manage the IR inbox and calendar, ensuring professional and timely responses to investor queries.
- Support the team: Provide PA support to the Head of IR and help bring the team together through meetings and initiatives.

WHAT WE'ER LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years’ experience in a fast-paced, high-performing environment, ideally within a listed plc or financial communications setting.
- Proven ability to communicate with senior stakeholders and produce board-level materials.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, especially under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with sound judgment and a proactive mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM or investor database systems.
- A collaborative team player who thrives on bringing people together and making things happen.
