About The Job
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Install Engineer to join our team specialising in coffee machines. The role involves conducting site surveys, preparing for installations, and successfully installing coffee machines at customer locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.

Your tasks
  • Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to assess installation requirements, including space, electrical needs, water supply, and other logistical factors. Communicate with customers to understand their specific requirements and provide recommendations.
  • Installation of Coffee Machines: Carry out the installation of coffee machines at customer sites to manufactures specifications & standards, ensuring correct setup and functionality. This includes connecting machines to water, power, and waste outlets and testing to confirm successful operation.
  • Equipment Collection & Delivery: On occasions, you may be required to visit our head office to collect machinery or equipment and deliver it to the designated site.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service throughout the installation process, ensuring the customer is satisfied with the placement and operation of the machine. Offer basic user training post-installation.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise during the installation process, including mechanical, electrical, and software-related problems.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all installations comply with health and safety regulations including PSSR regulations. This also includes using personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to safe working practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site surveys, installation activities, and any issues encountered. Complete installation reports including boiler inspections and handover documents for customer records.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as sales, installation and training teams, customer service, and technical support to ensure seamless communication and a smooth customer experience.

Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an installation engineer, ideally with coffee machines or similar

equipment.

  • Strong technical skills, with an understanding of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical

systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering high levels

of customer service.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Desirable:
  • Experience with coffee machines or similar beverage dispensing equipment.
  • Basic electrical or plumbing certification.
  • Coffeesafe certification.
  • Experience using tools and equipment related to installation tasks.

Working Conditions:
  • May require extended hours during peak periods or special projects
  • Field based within London and surrounding areas although additional travel maybe
